Activity :House and Castle

For the castle I started out buy making a box, then I made the tubes, using auto grid so that were connected to the castle.
I converted the box into an 'editable poly', Clicked the top and bottom of the box to delete them.
To make the arched entrance I created a sphere and positioned it in the front of the castle where I would want the arch... under Geometry and Compound objects, I selected 'Boolean' and 'Pick Operand B'....then clicked on the sphere...but because at first I still had the selection on the sphere, it did not cut it out. I re-did the whole exercise whilst making sure the selection was on the castle.

To make the cones at the top...I used the align tool to make sure the cone sat on top of the tubes...to make the towers.

Week 1- Introduction and Sheep Steering Wheel
For this week, I had to get familiar with the software as I had not used it before.
Activity:
I had to make a create a ship steering wheel.
I learnt how to make a basic steering wheel using primitives.
I started out by using 'Torous' tool to crate the round bit of the wheel and it does not have smooth edges, and it would help create the handles easier.
I used the 'Tube' to make the handles, I clicked on 'AutoGrid' to make sure it connected through with the 'Tourous'.
This was meant to be the final wheel but I found it difficult to make the handles the same size and to make them symetrical.
(27/9/2011) Today I discovered how to clone and rotate.)
